The toll of time
I can't help,
But wish I could hold you to me
Now more than ever.
You could be so many hundreds of miles away,
Or could've just past me in the hall.
How am I to know you?
With every particle in my being
I believe,
I'm destined only for you.
The thought of how this could be
Perplexing...
I just wish you were here
With me now,
There is nothing I wish more.
How do I know,
Is the path I walk the right,
The one to you;
Could one mislead turn really lead
To this eternal loneliness
...I need to find you
I will search;
Till my eyes grow tired,
Till my muscles sore,
Till my ears grow weary of bad news
And still.
I will search.
I have to believe,
Somewhere you're waiting for me
But right here...
Right now...
I yearn for you.
But wish I could hold you to me
Now more than ever.
You could be so many hundreds of miles away,
Or could've just past me in the hall.
How am I to know you?
With every particle in my being
I believe,
I'm destined only for you.
The thought of how this could be
Perplexing...
I just wish you were here
With me now,
There is nothing I wish more.
How do I know,
Is the path I walk the right,
The one to you;
Could one mislead turn really lead
To this eternal loneliness
...I need to find you

Till my eyes grow tired,
Till my muscles sore,
Till my ears grow weary of bad news
And still.
I will search.
I have to believe,
Somewhere you're waiting for me
But right here...
Right now...
I yearn for you.
